Kirsters Baish| We expect nothing less from Dr. Ben Carson than great character and impressive intelligence. We would expect a man of his magnitude to excel in any job position that he has been pre-qualified for. He is a man of humble intelligence and that cannot be overlooked. He instills a sense of confidence in the American people, and with good reason too.
With Dr. Carson in his position as Secretary of the United States Housing and Urban Development Department, many are confused. A man who is known as a world-renowned brain surgeon might be better served doing brain surgery… but that is not the case. Dr. Carson is in the right place, and the American people are lucky to have him serving them.
An interesting piece of information recently came to Dr. Carson’s attention. He recently found out about a welfare rule that has existed for 50 years. This rule will let low-income Americans to work for HUD within their own communities. This welfare rule also means that contractors for work for HUG on construction projects must meet requirements to hire local, low-income workers. These workers must be within their communities, which means these contractors will be assisting these people and filtering money back into local economies.
Dr. Carson does well in explaining his goal for the program.
“It’s not how many people we can get into public housing,” Carson explained while being interviewed on Newsmax TV. “It’s how many people we can get out of it.”
Carson goes on to say “We’re going to put much more emphasis on Section 3, which requires HUD builders to use low-income residents as employees during the construction of these various developments and in the redevelopment of places,’ Carson said on The Joe Pags Show, referring to a law created in 1968.”
Americans spend far too much time working against regulations and their negative aspects on business and the American economy. Dr. Carson has found a rule and turned it into something that may actually be helpful, but unfortunately, this rule has been ignored for a long time.
Now you see why we need Dr. Carson right in the position he’s in. Although he is known for being a brain surgeon, he is not ill-qualified for his current position. If we had a government full of people half as smart as Carson, we would really be going places.
“Most major construction and reconstruction projects are known about well more than a year in advance.” Dr. Carson went on. “If you know that already, why not prepare the people, begin to train the people, ahead of time — so that when you’re ready to do it, you have the workforce that’s necessary?”
It’s great to see Dr. Carson working on rebuilding American communities. In the process of doing so, he is also helping Americans work on rebuilding their lives. He is making sure that everyone has a chance to live the American dream.
